I produced this short film for my undergraduate senior Earth Systems capstone project while at Stanford University. I worked with a fellow student to center the narratives of three people of color within Stanford’s School of EARTH grappling with the lack of diversity in the field. The piece challenged me to confront my own positionality as a privileged, white student working to responsibly tell the stories of these individuals. It reinforced the importance of building trust with subjects that has continued to play a central role in my storytelling ethos.
